Registered Nurse - Evening on Call

Full time position (4p - 8a). Responsible for responding to evening / night time incoming agency calls from clients and families.  Responds with telephone intervention and/or makes home visits to assess and resolve problems being experienced by patients.  The RN Evening/Night on Call reports to the Hospice Director.  Hospice training provided.


Grants Administrator

The grants administrator, working collaboratively with VNS executives and managers, is responsible for maintaining current grants and pursuing new funding opportunities as appropriate. This includes researching and being aware of grants opportunities, writing grants according to funding source guidance, meeting all deadlines, assuring deliverables are being met, and maintaining relationships with multiple project officers. Funding opportunities are available through federal, state, local and private sources, including foundations. This position requires creativity, curiosity, research, timeliness, organization and excellent written and interpersonal skills. Flexible hours, 12-16 hours/week.


Registered Nurse - Homecare

Full time and per diem positions available.  Provides skilled professional nursing care in the home care setting as prescribed by the physician.  Gives care in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety for the patient and family.  Must be registered as a professional nurse in Rhode Island.  Massachusetts license must be obtained within one year of employment.


Registered Nurse - Maternal/Child Health

Per diem position available.  Provides skilled professional nursing care and health education to children and their families or caregivers.  Must be registered as a professional nurse in Rhode Island.  Looking for coverage in the East Providence area.


Physical Therapist

Part time positions available.  Provides direct physical therapy services to patients in the home care setting.  Determines priority needs for physical therapy services depending on potential for benefit, diagnostic category, age and chronicity of condition.  Provides physical therapy evaluation and instruction to nursing staff.  Must be registered as a professional Physical Therapist in Rhode Island.  Massachusetts licensure must be obtained within one year of employment.


Certified Nursing Assistant

Per diem positions available.  Assists patient with personal care according to the plan of care developed by the case manager following state and agency guidelines.  Observes, records and reports vital signs and other data as requested in the care plan.  Assists patient with ambulation and transfers when appropriate.  Performs homemaking services that are essential to the patient's care at home.  Must be registered as a CNA in Rhode Island.


Occupational Therapist

Per diem positions available.  Provides occupational therapy services to patients in the home care setting.  Determines priority needs for occupational therapy services depending on potential for benefit, diagnostic category, age and chronicity of condition.  Provides occupational therapy evaluation and instruction to nursing staff.  Must be registered as a professional Occupational Therapist in Rhode Island.  Massachusetts licensure must be obtained within one year of employment.


Speech Language Pathologist

Per diem positions available.  Provides speech language pathology services to patients in the home care setting.  Determines priority needs for speech therapy services depending on potential for benefit, diagnostic category, age and chronicity of condition.  Provides speech language therapy evaluation and instruction to nursing staff.  Must be registered as a professional Speech Language Pathologist in Rhode Island.  Massachusetts licensure must be obtained within one year of employment.


Registered Nurse - Hospice

Full time and per diem positions available.  Provides skilled professional nusring care in the home care setting in accordance with the National Association of Hospice and Palliative Care standards and as prescribed by the physician.  Gives care in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety for the patient and family.  Must be registered as a professional nurse in Rhode Island.
